On June 15, 2019, Global Water Dances (GWD) organized dance performances in over 100 locations throughout the world.  The goal of these events is to highlight a local water issue and improve the audiences’ understanding of the importance of water in their community. Each performance took place near a local body of water, using locally-based music.  RUVIVAL partnered with GWD for this event and we present eight dance groups of this global event.

Seven of these sites were in Africa, and one in Asia.  Each site produced a performance consisting of four parts:

  1. Opening Ceremony
  2. Local Dance
  3. Global Dance
  4. Participatory Dance

All events were filmed and are presented in this section.
